Rev. Jeffery R. Wimbush Sr. serves as Senior Pastor of Sweet Home Missionary
Baptist Church, located at 280 Oak Street in Hiram, Georgia. “The
Church where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is All in All. Making
disciples and building the family unity”.
Pastor Wimbush has been in the ministry for eighteen years. He has been
Pastoring for thirteen years. Pastor Wimbush was licensed at Shoal Creek
Baptist Church in 1991 and later served as Youth Pastor for three years
at Shoal Creek. Then in 1995 he was called to serve at Heavenly Way
Baptist Church in Griffin, Ga. In 2000 he was called to Sweet Home Missionary
Baptist Church.
Pastor Wimbush has a diploma in Biblical Education from Carver Bible
College, a diploma in Criminal Justice from Griffin Technical College,
a diploma in Mid Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, and
a A.A. and B.A. degree in Leadership and Administration from Beulah
Heights University (Magna Cum Laude). He has a M.A. in Christian Counseling,
and a Doctrine of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Pastor Wimbush is a member of The Beta Eta Betta Kappa Honors Society
and Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges.
He has been up for a number of nominations, and has received numerous
awards.
Pastor Wimbush has been married to his high school sweetheart Mrs. Christy
Wimbush for twenty seven years, and together they have three children;
Chakari, Jeffery, Emmanuel, and two grandchildren Kailyn and Amme.
Pastor Wimbush is a man of God; who goes beyond the call of duty. He
loves the Lord and his people. He makes it his business to take the
time and serve God’s people in any way he can. He is a compassionate
and outgoing man of God. He is a servant leader.
